Switch On Lights with Just Your Phone
Switch On Lights with Just Your Phone
This project demonstrates how to wirelessly control real-world loads using nothing more than a smartphone and Bluetooth. Using a simple terminal app, individual commands toggle relays on and off, allowing you to control lights, motors, fans, valves, or heaters with ease. At the core of the setup is an STM32F7 development board paired with Bluetooth, sensor, and relay Click boards, all connected via mikroBUS™. A temperature sensor adds automation by triggering outputs when conditions are met—like turning on lights when temperatures hit freezing. The entire system is developed, flashed, and debugged using NECTO Studio, with pre-integrated Click board libraries speeding up development. With hardware from MikroElektronika and full documentation available on Embedded Wiki, this project shows how quickly wireless control ideas can become working prototypes.
